"A Step in a Digital Direction"

A Free Digital Art Class for Native Youth
Picture
Teacher & Artist - Weeya Calif
Free digital art classes are being offered!!! “A Step in a Digital Direction” is a free digital art class for Native youth ages 11 - 17. The classes will be held in December at the Radisson. Students will learn the basics of using an iPad and the Procreate app. Students will explore digital brushes, colors, textures, shading and so much more. This will be a one day class from 9 am - 4 pm and lunch will be provided for each student. Digital art is a great way to express oneself and the artwork can be printed as prints, canvas prints, cards, t-shirts, hats and more. This is a great opportunity for our Native youth. All students will receive a print of their favorite creation and may have the opportunity to participate in the 2022 Woodland Indian Art Show & Market in the Youth Category, if tribally enrolled or a descendant. (Students do not have to be enrolled in a tribe to join the class or to receive a free print of their work. They only need to be enrolled or have a letter of descendancy if they desire to be in the art show.)

Fill out the form for your child’s age group to register. Class size is limited to 5 students per age group. Classes will fill up fast. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the teacher, Weeya Calif at
