Woodland Indian Art Indigenous Fashion Show
CALL FOR DESIGNERS! DEADLINE: OCTOBER 6, 2023

November 11, 2023
Theme: Honoring our Veterans - Past, Present, & Future
Radisson Hotel & Conference Center
2040 Airport Drive, Green Bay, WI  54313

Woodland Indian Art, Inc. (WIA)  has held an annual Woodland Indian Show and Market for the past 15 years. In 2022 WIA added a Woodland Design fashion show, featuring a collection of one designer. Due to the interest, we have expanded the show this year and will open the show to 10 tribal designers who may show up to 10 of their fashions. Being a Woodland art organization, designs should emphasize woodland designs and/or incorporate designs that go with this year’s theme of Honoring our Veterans – Past, Present and Future. We also request that designers incorporate one traditional design into your collection, such as a men’s, women or child’s traditional blouse, shirt, skirt, vest or other item.

Designers may enter a minimum of 4 looks/designs, and up to 10 looks/designs.

WIA is attempting to show a broad look of Woodland designs, both traditional and contemporary. We are requesting that ribbon skirts be kept to a minimum of one per collection unless it is part of a full outfit.  If it is part of a full outfit, it will not be counted as a ribbon skirt.

Payment:  WIA will make payments to designers based on their number of entries.  Our budget this first year is intended to help with expenses incurred in your design and sewing process. We have plans for increases in future years.
Payments will be paid at the end of the show for the following number of entered designs. Please call to discuss your entries if you have questions.

9-10 Entries - $200
6-8 Entries - $150
4-5 Entries - $100

Designers are requested to bring as many of their own models as possible so you know your models fit your designs. We will ATTEMPT to help identify models for any out of town designers but cannot guarantee all requests will be accommodated.

Please call 920-355-2244 – leave a message for a return call if no answer. Be sure to leave your name and phone number for a call back or Email: Info@woodlandindianart.com

Selected designers will be notified after review of their application.

Thank you for entering to be part of the 2023 Woodland Indian Art Show and Market.
