Who We Are And Sponsorship Opportunities
Woodland Indian Art Show & Market (WIASM) is a community event. The concept was developed and coordinated by Oneida Tribal members, tribally owned businesses, Tribal programs and other Native Artists. WIASM hopes to grow into a nationally recognized event that will serve as an asset to the community, Native artists, and our citizens. The Woodland Indian Art Show & Market strives to encourage creativity and establish a standard of excellence and artisanship within all areas of Woodland Indian Art.
Event Summary 2019 will mark the 13th Annual Woodland Indian Art Show & Market (WIASM). WIASM provides an opportunity for the community and the public at large to meet Native Artists, to view and to purchase authentic Woodland Indian Art. It also allows the artists the opportunity to network and promote their work. A juried competition sets a standard of excellence for the artwork. |
Event Results
The event draws the general public and showcases 25 - 30 artists. Competition winners are celebrated at the event and promoted throughout the year via Face Book, the WIASM's webpage, and in the subsequent year's advertisements. Beyond the immediate goal of the event, the purpose is to generate an increased level of interest in authentic Woodland Indian Art. Sponsorships & Partnerships Over the last nine years, WIASM has strived to cultivate relationships with individuals and organization that share similar goals. The WIA Board of Directors is made up of Tribal members who all volunteer their time to make this a successful annual event. |
