The Art Garage is currently seeking an artist to assist the Art Garage in a Public Art Project!
The mission of the Art Garage is to encourage an appreciation for and participation in the visual, performing and literary arts. More specifically, as part of the Olde Main Redevelopment District, the Art Garage is helping to bring value back to the area along with many other businesses and private property owners who want to reclaim rather than demolish our city’s history.
The Art Garage is hoping to undertake a public art mural on our Main Street building during the 2019 year! For this mural, we would like to focus on the unity of our community at our Three Corners location. The Art Garage is a welcoming neighbor to the diverse populations within our community and proudly displays “Everyone Welcome” on our front door. Unity is defined as the state of being united or joined as a whole. The word unity is a call for people of every gender, race, and disability to come together. With the concept of our new logo, a finger print to recognize the identity of each individual in our community, we would like to incorporate different finger prints into our design to show diversity.
We hope to represent all of the unique cultures and ethnicities in an original, artistic design.
If you are interested in working with the Art Garage in developing a public art mural, please contact us at:
